A fashion trend that now designers are re-visiting is the one created by André Courrèges. The French designer opened his Maison de Couture in 1961 and in 1964 launched the Space Age (epoca spaziale)collection. His clothes had geometric shapes (forme geometriche): squares, trapezoids, triangles. The skirts were very short and the look included boots (stivali) and goggles (occhiali solo portati per moda) of the colour of the dress, usually white, black and primary colours (colori primary quali rosso, blu etc). He used materials like plastic and metal. The idea still in vogue today is ‘second-skin’ all-over tights(now leggings, pantacollan) created in 1967.
