The first decade of the 2000s has seen a revival or a continuation of earlier styles and trends. But this new way of looking back at old fashion designs has been translated with the word VINTAGE.  The word refers to clothes of previous period – from 1920s on. The success  of real  vintage clothes is partly due to the elegance of design and quality of fabrics, partly to an increasing interest in environmental sustainability (sostenibilità ambientale) which has proposed recycling and repairing rather than throwing (gettare) things away. Not all these clothes are original: designers have turned to (si sono rivolti a ) previous eras for inspiration and have re-interpreted the old clothes with new fabrics closely resembling (che assomigliano) original vintage. Unfortunately nowadays these clothes mass produced, and have lost their peculiarity of being unique.  [to be continued]
